The Osprey Bass Anglers of South Fort Worth, TX was started back in 1991 and has been a Bass fishing club ever since. Our Club and Foundation host and provide everything for this Youth Fishing event annually for the last 30 plus years. The event is held on the Saturday before Father’s day every year. The Fishing event location is in South Forth Worth at Greenbriar Community Center and Lake. This location was chosen because we prefer serving the less fortunate and under privilege youth and families. There is nothing like enjoying a day of fishing and food with our families.
The purpose of our club is to establish a lasting tradition of fishing for the youth and their families in their communities. The members of our club pride themselves in being strong positive role models who foster successful lifestyles for a better future. We aim to give our inner-city youth an opportunity to experience the joy of fishing. We believe that fishing can provide them with a positive attitude, build their confidence and prevent them from making less favorable choices, such as gang violence or illegal drug use, etc.
Club 2025 Expectations
The Osprey Bass Anglers of South Fort Worth, TX is looking forward to another great bass fishing season in 2025. Also, in 2025 we will be hosting our 34th annual Youth fishing Tournament on​ June 14th, the day before Father’s Day.
Monthly Meetings
Currently, we are meeting on Zoom on the 1st Saturday at 5pm of each Month. In person meetings are normally held at 5pm on the 1st Saturday at Ol’ South Pancake House at 1509 South University Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76107. We will let everyone know when we get back to regular in person meetings.
